Handwritten letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Karl R. Alden in Toronto, Canada. Academy letterhead. Typed copy attached on Olivet Society letterhead. Pendleton is delighted with Alden's telegram and letter in which Alden accepts the position of Acacdemy Boy's School principal. A meeting will be held on Sunday and Pendleton has high hopes. Pendleton may be able to send definite word of the outcome next week.

Pendleton informs Alden about the meeting regarding Alden moving to Bryn Athyn and becoming the principal of the Academy Boy's School; Everyone wants Alden but "implications and involvements in other directions are such that we finally agreed to adjourn to meet again next Sunday."

Pendleton writes that the Academy Board of Directors has officially hired David at a salary of $2500 per year, effective Jan. 1st of the present year, to work as Mr. Theodore Pitcairn’s secretary and also work for the Academy to fill his time. Pendleton looks forward to seeing David in Bryn Athyn.
