Pendleton informs Harris that he presented Harris’ letter to the Executive Committee at a meeting to determine the Church budget for 1932. It was necessary to cut expenses wherever possible, but the Committee hopes that Harris will be able to continue his work at Arbutus. In view of this, an action was taken to help support Harris, details of which will soon be communicated by Mr. (Hubert) Hyatt.

Yet Pendleton writes “as you are in ‘full sympathy’ with the advice given you by the society at its recent meeting, I can not do other than forward your resignation for final action.” Pendleton requests that Harris call a society meeting shortly and present the contents of this letter to them.
