He asks W.F.P. to inform him of the dates as soon as possible since there is talk of planning a banquet during his visit. Pendleton reports that the Committee is preparing to meet next week for the first time since the spring.

At the semi-annual meeting of the Pittsburgh Society, they decided that they would not like to have an Assembly meeting this fall. They would, however, like W.F.P. to visit and administer Holy Supper. Pendleton suggests the Holy Supper offerings be used to pay for W.F.P.’s travelling expenses. Pendleton has been trying to come to a mutual arrangement with Mr. Caldwell, but Caldwell needs until the end...

W.F.P. has suggested Pendleton come to Bryn Athyn for a while to join Miss Beekman in her work. Pendleton does not like the idea of being away from his family, but he writes, “I take it that a man should do what he can, especially in a work of such surpassing importance as I conceive Miss Beekman’s work to be.” He agrees to spend the month of August working with Beekman in Bryn Athyn. Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Alan Gill in New York, NY, USA. Pendleton is glad Gill has been able to accept the Church’s offer and will attend the 1928 London Assembly. Pendleton hopes that the members of the Church in England will be pleased with the planned ordination of Mr. Tilson at the Assembly. Pendleton informs Gill that he will visit the New York society on the second Sunday in May if that is agreeable to the people.
