Pendleton was delighted by the encouraging signs in Acton's last letter, and Pendleton would like to cooperate with Alden in any way possible. Unfortunately, Pendleton will be busy for the next four Sundays, and so will not be able to administer Holy Supper for the Advent Church. He recommends either Mr. (Eldred) Iungerich, Mr. Alden Sr., or the elder Mr. de Charms as his replacement.

The prospects for the church in Scranton (PA) look promising, they just need to find a minister who is able to preach there regularly. If Mr. Pool is able to keep the people there interested in the church between episcopal visits, Pendleton thinks they may be able to send a minister from time to time....
