Pendleton writes that it is a pleasure to hear the good results of Alden's work so far; if Alden can get some people to come who haven't attended before, it will be a triumph. Pendleton informs Alden that although the Assembly has been shortened, Alden is still on the program to preach for June 20th. Pendleton trusts Lenore (Alden?) and the new baby girl are doing well.

Pendleton was delighted by the encouraging signs in Acton's last letter, and Pendleton would like to cooperate with Alden in any way possible. Unfortunately, Pendleton will be busy for the next four Sundays, and so will not be able to administer Holy Supper for the Advent Church. He recommends either Mr. (Eldred) Iungerich, Mr. Alden Sr., or the elder Mr. de Charms as his replacement.
