Pendleton has received David’s letter of July 10th in which he requests to be accepted as a minister of the General Church of the New Jerusalem. Pendleton is happy to comply with David’s request; David will now be listed as a General Church pastor. Pendleton hopes David will continue with his missionary work in Denver, at least until the Church can send someone else, although this may not be for several years.

Pendleton was delighted by the encouraging signs in Acton's last letter, and Pendleton would like to cooperate with Alden in any way possible. Unfortunately, Pendleton will be busy for the next four Sundays, and so will not be able to administer Holy Supper for the Advent Church. He recommends either Mr. (Eldred) Iungerich, Mr. Alden Sr., or the elder Mr. de Charms as his replacement.
