Pendleton acknowledges the receipt of Baeckstrom’s letter to the Bishop of April 11th. F. Pendleton reports that the Bishop has been ill for the past 2 weeks and has retired to the seashore where he will remain until he leaves for the Assembly. F. Pendleton does not think the illness is too serious, but rather a result of an attack of the grippe which he had over the winter.
