Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. John Headsten in Chicago, IL, USA. Headsten’s letter of May 16th with report enclosed has been received and presented at the recent meetings. Pendleton reports that the Assembly was a success, and he is sorry that Headsten was unable to attend. Of the Assembly, Pendleton writes that there was “a realizing sense of the great mission for which the Church stands, and as well a distinct feeling of encouragement for the future.”

Pendleton has been informed that the people of the Denver Society wish to appoint a permanent pastor, and so it will be necessary for David to terminate his present temporary position there by next July. Pendleton thanks David for his service and writes that he hopes to see David and his wife at the upcoming Assembly in Glenview.

He asks Alden to discuss holding an assembly in the Spring with the Toronto and Kitchener societies. Pendleton would prefer the dates for the assembly to include April 10th and/or 17th.

As a result of Alden's letter of March 1st, Pendleton has sent a telegram to Llewellyn (David?) to say that the assembly will be from May 21st-24th. This way Pendleton can accomodate the Kitchner society in terms of date, and he thinks that the people of the Toronto Soceity will understand.
