As it was unclear if the Toronto Society wished to host the Assembly, the Pastor’s Council offered to host the Assembly in Bryn Athyn if needed. The time and place of the Assembly will be further discussed by the Joint Council at the February Midyear Meetings.

Pendleton is pleased that Gyllenhaal has agreed to give the evening service at the upcoming Assembly. Pendleton tells Gyllenhaal that the US is having many of the same financial difficulties as Canada. Pendleton believes that those in the Church “must all stand as we are, and wait for this long continued depression to pass.”

Pendleton is pleased that Gyllenhaal is able to help Alan (Gill), pastor of the Kitchener society, as Gill recovers from an illness. Pendleton hope Gill will take a “sufficiently long rest” in order to fully recover before returning to work.
