This meeting was called to determine whether the Pittsburgh Society would offer to host the next General Assembly. There was a “state of grave discouragement” at W.F.P.’s suggestion not to hold an Assembly in the coming year, as many felt that the Church would soon grow too large for Pittsburgh to host.
