Pendleton writes that he has read sections of Pitcairn’s reply to Dr. Acton’s pamphlet and found them interesting and entertaining. The midyear council meetings will not be held this year due to the timing of the General Assembly, so the report Pitcairn sent of his episcopal work in France will simply be filed for future reference.
