Although Mr. Acton has suggested that the Bishop need not deliver an address, Pendleton feels that “unless some time is provided for a paper by the Bishop the purpose of calling an Assembly will be in large part defeated.” Pendleton will shorty be departing for New York to preside at an assembly over the weekend.

The Bishop’s secretary encloses the recommended order of service to accompany the sermon, but she writes that Gyllenhaal may adapt it as necessary.
