Biographical / Historical
Alberta Laurina Wilhelmina Doering, known as Laurene, was born Waterloo, Ontario, in 1903, the daughter of Albert Doering and Caroline Rothermael. She married James Edward (Ted) Hawley. After moving to and raising pigs in BC, they retired to Seaside, Oregon. Ted predeceased Laurene in 1982. She died there in 1993.
