Biographical or Historical Information
Jennie Gaskill was a teacher in New Church schools for many years. She produced many publications including, Biography of Raymond Pitcairn, The Study of Nature: a handbook for teachers and parents" and An Introduction to the Hebrew Language.

These papers were inherited by Alison Pryke Jackson. Jennie Gaskill helped raise some of the younger children in the Madeline and Edward Bostock family, including Zara Bostock (Pryke).

Appraisal Information
Jennie Gaskill was an influential figure in the New Church educational system. Her handbook for nature study is still in use in some classrooms today.

To the original donation, two pieces of correspondence were added from the "Alphabetical Files" held by this archives.

Processing Information
The collection was originally housed in "manila" envelopes. The materials were transferred to archival quality folders and titled as they were on the original envelope. The archivist provided a title for any blank envelopes.
