Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Waelchli in Buffalo, New York, USA. Pendleton hereby accepts Waelchli’s resignation as Pastor of the Carmel Church, effective July 1st, 1917. Pendleton writes that he is accepting the resignation only because Waelchli is needed “in a broader field of usefulness.” Pendleton will notify the Carmel Church secretary and request that he call a Society meeting to discuss nominations for a new pastor. Pendleton noted in Waelchli’s letter of April 19th the reference to his decrease in income. Pendleton has already notified the Extension Committee of this situation, but he will call their attention to it again.
