Pendleton writes Whitehead a letter of introduction: “The bearer, William Whitehead, is an instructor in history in the schools of the Academy of the New Church, and has been a resident of Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania, since December 1907. Mr. Whitehead is a British subject and is visiting Canada with a view to offer his services to his country.”
