Pendleton transcribes Bjorck’s letter to him of March 3rd along with his reply. Bjorck wrote to Pendleton that he did not feel his conscience would allow him to retract his letter to Bishop DeCharms. Due to his advanced age, Bjorck requested that he not be dropped from the rolls of the General Church until his death. He promised to remain passive on the issue and not to cause any further disturbance for the rest of his life. In Pendleton’s reply, he wrote that he was touched by the reference to Bjorck’s age and willingness to remain passive, but that Bjorck must recall all copies of his letter to Bishop DeCharms or face separation from the Church. Names mentioned: Victor Gladish, Mr. (Albert) Bjorck, Bishop (George) DeCharms
