Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Robert J. Tilson, 1935-03-05
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Robert J. Tilson in London, England. Pendleton thanks Tilson for his cable and letter, sent to Mr. Pitcairn, in recognition of Pendleton’s 70th birthday. The birthday celebrations were a surprise to Pendleton, and he was grateful for the many good wishes sent by friends. Pendleton continues to consider the prospect of sending Mr. Henderson to Australia. He understands that Henderson’s leaving England will not be too much of an inconvenience to the Church as his position and prospects there are not very promising. Pendleton hopes the General Church will be able to “hold the fort” in Australia by stationing Henderson there. Names mentioned: Mr. (Raymond?) Pitcairn, Mr. (William Cairns) Henderson, Mrs. (Edith Gunton) Tilson
