Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Robert J. Tilson in London, England. Pendleton thanks Tilson for his last letter with enclosure. He is pleased that Bishop DeCharms’ recent visit to England for the Assembly was successful. DeCharms’ appeal on behalf of Mr. Henderson fulfilled Pendleton’s wishes. Pendleton gives his heartly approval to Tilson’ suggestion that Wynne Acton be appointed Assistant Pastor to Tilson’s society. This will allow Acton to be of greater use and will “provid[e] for that future when the older ones of us must pass on to the fulfilment of those uses in another life which the Lord may provide for us.” Names mentioned: Bishop (George) DeCharms, Mr. (William Cairns) Henderson, Wynne Acton
