Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Robert J. Tilson in London, England. Pendleton thanks Tilson for his letter of July 14th and various interesting enclosures. Pendleton does not know what to make of Mr. Coulson’s unusual ordination, that is, whether Coulson is now an ordained minister or simply a recognized leader. Pendleton hopes the British Assembly will be successful this year, resulting in a feeling of spiritual unity despite the current Church controversies. After reading Miss Greenwood’s report of the 19th of June celebration, Pendleton comments that the event was “evidently an inspiration to you all.” Pendleton will preach in Bryn Athyn next Sunday before departing to the mountains for several weeks of vacation with his family. Pendleton also comments that they will be glad to receive the Benade belongings which are being sent over from London. Names mentioned: Mr. (Frank) Coulson, Mr. Brown, Mr. (Victor) Gladish, Miss (Mabel Beatrice) Greenwood, (William Henry) Benade, New Church Herald
