Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Robert J. Tilson, 1928-11-05
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Robert J. Tilson in London, England. Pendleton informs Tilson that Mr. Bjorck plans to relocate to England and live near Mr. Philip Oyler. Bjorck’s injuries resulting from an accident will prevent him from doing much active Church work, but Pendleton thinks that Tilson, Bjorck, and Gladish would all benefit from periodic meetings. Pendleton has just returned from his western episcopal circuit with stops in Glenview, Chicago, and Pittsburgh. Sharon Church in Chicago has received a bequest of $5000, and its members are considering enlarging their place of worship. The Pittsburgh Society has bought a property for $55,000, and, by selling a portion of it for building lots, has made up much of the initial cost while retaining space for the construction of a new church building. Names mentioned: Mr. (Albert) Bjorck, Mr. Philip Oyler, Mr. (Victor) Gladish, Mrs. (Edith Gunton) Tilson
