Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Robert J. Tilson, 1927-05-17
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Robert J. Tilson in London, England. Pendleton has received Tilson’s letter of April 29th. Pendleton approves of the dates Tilson has suggested for the Assembly, apart from inclusion of Monday the 13th, as Assemblies customarily end on Sundays. Pendleton suggests they hold clergy, joint, and committee meetings in the morning and afternoon and present important papers in the evenings. As both the Swedenborg Society hall and Longfield hall will be too small to accommodate these gatherings, Pendleton recommends Tilson find a centrally located Assembly hall capable of hosting about 400 people to rent. Names mentioned: Swedenborg Society, Longfield Hall, Bloomsbury district
