Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Robert J. Tilson in London, England. In Bryn Athyn, the mid-year meetings have successfully concluded. One of the topics discussed during these meetings was Pendleton’s desire to ordain Tilson into the third degree of the priesthood at the next General Assembly. Aside from several questions as to how this would affect the order and organization of the General Church, all of Pendleton’s advisors responded affirmatively to this idea. Pendleton goes on to explain the process of ordination in detail. On a more personal note, Pendleton adds, “Now, my dear brother, I desire to say for myself that I anticipate your consent with joy. I know your loyalty and I have confidence in your ability and judgement, and above all in your supreme love for the Church.”
