Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Robert J. Tilson, 1926-11-08
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Robert J. Tilson in London, England. Pendleton has received Tilson’s letter of October 20th. Pendleton has spoken with the people of Bryn Athyn, and they are in favor of the idea of holding an international General Assembly in London. Pendleton originally had 1929 in mind, though there are many reasons why 1928 may be better. Pendleton suggests activities begin in mid-July as this would allow people on the American side to conclude their work for the season and set sail about the 1st of July. Pendleton hopes this matter will be considered by the Joint Council during their February meetings. Postscript, Pendleton adds that he will not make his customary European trip next summer if the Assembly is set for 1928.
