Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Robert J. Tilson in London, England. Pendleton has received Tilson’s letter of Dec. 12th. He delayed answering until he could write that the money allocated to the Burton Road School had been sent. There was more difficulty than anticipated in taking action on this matter, as Pendleton supposes Mr. Gyllenhaal has already explained. In Bryn Athyn, the College department is larger than ever this year, and there have been disciplinary issues with some of the young men not taking their work seriously enough. Pendleton writes that they have just had a “shake up” with two students expelled and several others placed on probation. Pendleton was sorry to hear Mrs. Tilson was still in the hospital, and he hopes her condition has now improved. Names mentioned: Mr. (Fred) Gyllenhaal, Mrs. Tilson
