Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Robert J. Tilson, 1921-06-16
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Robert J. Tilson in London, England. Pendleton has been in communication with Mr. Gyllenhaal regarding the itinerary of his European trip; He will arrive in London on July 28th for the British Assembly, remaining for two weeks, and will then return to London in mid-September for a month’s stay. Pendleton asks Tilson and Gyllenhaal to arrange his episcopal engagements in London. He anticipates that they will need to hold several conferences after the Assembly to address the questions at hand, i.e., the proposal to combine the Burton Road and Peckham Rye societies. In connection with this, Pendleton would like Mr. Bjorck and Mr. Ottley to remain in London for some time following the Assembly. Pendleton plans to travel in the company of Messrs. Raymond and Theodore Pitcairn, his daughter Ora, and misses Creda and Winfrey Glenn. Names mentioned: Mr. (Fred) Gyllenhaal, Mr. (Albert) Bjorck, Mr. (Glendower) Ottley, Raymond Pitcairn, Theodore Pitcairn, Ora (Pendleton), Miss (Creda) Glenn, Miss (Winfrey) Glenn
