Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Homer Synnestvedt in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. Pendleton agrees with Synnestvedt’s suggestion in his letter of June 7th that it would be ideal for theological candidates to spend a whole year assisting an assigned Pastor. Pendleton himself assisted Mr. Bostock for two years in the Immanuel Church, and he found this training to be very useful. Pendleton inquires whether Oct. 30th will be a satisfactory date for the Pittsburgh district assembly. The Toronto spring district assembly had to be cancelled due to an outbreak of smallpox, and Glenview’s assembly will include a special celebration this year in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Immanuel Church. Pendleton’s tentative schedule is: Oct. 16th in Toronto, Oct. 23rd in Glenview, and Oct. 30th in Pittsburgh. Names mentioned: Mr. (Edward Crary) Bostock
