Letter from N.D. Pendleton's secretary to Rev. Homer Synnestvedt, 1921-06-04
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton's secretary, Freda Pendleton, to Rev. Homer Synnestvedt in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. F. Pendleton has read Synnestvedt’s letter concerning Mrs. Reedy attending Convention services to Bishop Pendleton. The Bishop thinks Synnestvedt’s letter to Reedy is sufficient; He does not feel the need to write to her himself as she has not actually resigned from the General Church. He does not think she needs to resign for wishing to attend Convention services. F. Pendleton is glad to know Synnestvedt will be coming to Bryn Athyn for the upcoming ministers’ meetings, but she will not see him as she will be sailing to Europe. She remarks, “I am going to Europe with Jean Horigan and Dorothey Davis, and I am not going with the Bishop. One does need a rest occasionally, with all due respect to the office and the man. I hope the ministers can get along all right without my help!” Names mentioned: Mrs. Reedy (Ida Hunter Reedy?), Uncle Dandridge (N. D. Pendleton), Jean Horigan, Dorothy Davis
