Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Homer Synnestvedt in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. Pendleton has received Synnestvedt’s letter of April 23rd. He regrets that he does not know of any available teachers for the Pittsburgh school; In Bryn Athyn, they had a difficult time finding a replacement after the resignation of Olive Bostock. Commenting on the lack of teachers Pendleton writes, “Teachers are not born, they are made, and it takes quite a while to make one.” The Academy schools are struggling to remain open due to Mr. Doering’s illness in addition to the absence of three prominent teachers.
