Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Homer Synnestvedt, 1916-04-17
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Homer Synnestvedt in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. Pendleton gave Synnestvedt’s recent letter asking for a loan of several rifles to Ed Bostock because Mr. Doering was away. Pendleton hopes Synnestvedt will be able to “use the guns to good effect.” Pendleton reports that things have been exciting in Bryn Athyn recently. A team of students faced the State College in a debate last week. Carl Odhner has been “laid up” for two weeks, during which time he has been writing a response to a paper by Iungerich. They have had a series of meetings regarding this paper, and most have come out in opposition against it. Additionally, the next Assembly is approaching, and Pendleton worries he has not had adequate time to prepare. He likes the idea of a fishing trip but cannot think ahead to vacation yet. Names mentioned: Ed Bostock, Mr. (Charles) Doering, C. T. O. (Carl Theophilus Odhner), (Eldred) Iungerich
