David also intends to visit Boston and possibly New York; He will be in communication with Synnestvedt regarding his plans. Pendleton then briefly explains the events in Bryn Athyn relating to the appointment of an Assistant Bishop: “The joint meetings on Saturday confirmed the action of the Ministers Council with reference to an Assistant Bishop. But the right of the ministers to appoint was challenged by the laymen, and the matter of the mode of electing a Bishop was referred to the General Council. The same subject was taken up briefly by the ministers on Monday and referred to the Consistory.” Names mentioned: Mr. (Llewellyn?) David
