Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Gilbert Haven Smith, 1927-06-28
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Gilbert Haven Smith in Glenview, IL, USA. Pendleton discusses plans for a series of upcoming fall Assemblies. He asks whether Sunday, Oct. 23rd will be satisfactory for the Glenview community. His tentative plan is Toronto on Oct. 16th, Glenview on Oct. 23rd, and Pittsburgh on Oct. 30th. Pendleton assumes theological student Hendrick Boef has arrived in Glenview by now; He asks Smith for his opinion of Boef and his ability as a minister. Pendleton thinks perhaps Smith may pass through Bryn Athyn this summer, in which case Pendleton hopes they can meet. He writes, “. . . I hope I may be on hand to meet you. I am counting on two or three little trips, but am accustomed to disappointments in such matters, - so many things interfere.” Names mentioned: (Hendrick) Boef
