Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Gilbert Haven Smith in Glenview, IL, USA. Pendleton has received Smith’s letter turning down the pastorate of the Toronto Society. He writes, “I feel that your decision to remain in Glenview was wise. While the people in Toronto would have been very glad to have you as their Pastor, they fully understand the bonds and obligations of service which prevented your accepting the call to come to them.” The Society now plans to call Hugo (Odhner) to the pastorate.
