Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Gilbert Haven Smith, 1920-05-03
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Gilbert Haven Smith in Glenview, IL, USA. Pendleton acknowledges Smith’s letter of April 15th. He explains that Smith’s suggestion to hold the Chicago District Assembly directly after the June meetings in Bryn Athyn would be impractical for several reasons. First, it would be physically straining, and second, it “would perhaps be rather in the way of your receiving from our foreign visitors all that they might have offer.” Pendleton recommends Smith invite the visitors to Chicago, and that he consider covering their travelling expenses.
