Pendleton informs Pitcairn of an upcoming change to the government of the Church; He writes, “It has been decided at the forthcoming Assembly to ratify our desire for an Assistant Bishop of the General Church. It appeared to me that such a step at this time would be of use to our organization.” Pendleton hopes Pitcairn will be in attendance at this Assembly.
