Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Theodore Pitcairn. Pendleton discusses Pitcairn’s idea of creating a literary translation of the Writings. Pendleton writes, “It is along lines that I have often thought might be effectively carried out. However, I know that many difficulties and discouragements would be encountered. . . I do not know whether I should encourage you to make a beginning or not, considering your many duties and responsibilities. But in any case love will find a way.” Pendleton asks Pitcairn to relay his thanks to the Durban society for the trowel they sent him. Hugo Odhner is now settled in his new position in Toronto, and George DeCharms is finally showing signs of recovery after a two-month illness. Names mentioned: Hugo (Odhner), George DeCharms
