Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Ernst Pfeiffer, 1925-04-11
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Ernst Pfeiffer in The Hague, Holland. Pendleton has received Pfeiffer’s letter of March 13th. He thanks Pfeiffer for acknowledging his 60th birthday and comments, “Age brings its compensation as well as its difficulties they say, however, I have no definite sense of either the one or the other.” Pendleton confirms that the posters arrived, and he expresses approval with the results of Pfeiffer’s public lectures. Pendleton notes that Mr. Boef is making a good impression in Bryn Athyn and will begin his theological studies in the fall with several other young men. Pendleton asks Pfeiffer about a particular painting; He writes, “[Boef] brought me a photograph of a painting from you. It is a delightful reminder, I recall the original but cannot remember by whom it was painted. When you write again you might give me the desired information.” Names mentioned: Mr. (Henry) Boef
