 Item
Identifier: RG.004.01

Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Ernst Pfeiffer in The Hague, Holland. Pendleton congratulates Pfeiffer on completing three years of service to the Church in Holland. Pendleton is particularly pleased that Pfeiffer, with the help of Theo Pitcairn, was able to find a better location for the Church and manse. Pendleton is also pleased that Mr. Boef will be coming to study at the Theological School in the new year; Boef should have no trouble getting through immigration now that the Academy is on the official list of schools accredited to receive students from foreign countries. Pendleton notes Winfred Hyatt’s criticism of Philippe Smit’s art in the most recent issue of The Bulletin; He comments that there are two divided schools of thought in Bryn Athyn on Smit’s work. Names mentioned: Theodore Pitcairn, Mr. (Henry) Boef, (Philippe) Smit, Winfred Hyatt, Mrs. Pfeiffer, (Beatrice Walton Childs) Pendleton
