Professor Esqueree’s test of Pendleton’s urine revealed no signs of kidney disease, but did indicate inflammation of the lower intestine. Pendleton is happy to have his symptoms explained and to know that he is not suffering from kidney disease as he feared. Pendleton asks W.F.P. to inform Louis of the contents of this letter.
