Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Bishop William F. Pendleton
Scope and Contents
Handwritten letter from N.D. Pendleton to Bishop William F. Pendleton. July 6th, no year. At the semi-annual meeting of the Pittsburgh Society, they decided that they would not like to have an Assembly meeting this fall. They would, however, like W.F.P. to visit and administer Holy Supper. Pendleton suggests the Holy Supper offerings be used to pay for W.F.P.’s travelling expenses. Pendleton has been trying to come to a mutual arrangement with Mr. Caldwell, but Caldwell needs until the end of the summer to give him an answer. Pendleton reports that he is enjoying reading Miss Beekman’s lectures and that Eo (Pendleton) arrived in Pittsburgh last night in good health. Names mentioned: Mr. Caldwell, Miss (Lilian Grace) Beekman, Eo (Eleora Pendleton)
