Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Bishop William F. Pendleton, 1914-01-06
Scope and Contents
Handwritten letter from N.D. Pendleton to Bishop William F. Pendleton. Pendleton reports that the Pittsburgh Church Committee unanimously decided to recommend Homer (Synnestvedt) for pastor. W.F.P.’s recommendations will be placed before the Society at a meeting next Friday. Beatrice did not sign for the Michner place while in Bryn Athyn- Mr. Michner told her to consider it rented and that Pendleton could sign the lease when he came to town. However, Pendleton has now received a note stating that Michner has sold the place and so cannot rent it to them. Pendleton will travel to Bryn Athyn next week to see if anything can be done about the situation. Beatrice has also written to Charley (?) Pendleton, asking him to keep an eye out for housing options. Names mentioned: Homer (Synnestvedt), Mr. (George) Macbeth, Beatrice (Walton Childs Pendleton), Mr. Michner, Charley (?) Pendleton
