Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Bishop William F. Pendleton, 1913-03-17
Scope and Contents
Handwritten letter from N.D. Pendleton to Bishop William F. Pendleton. Pendleton requests the children’s service and accompanying music. Pendleton would like to know the dates for W.F.P.’s upcoming visit so that he can arrange to preach for Middleport while W.F.P. takes his place in Pittsburgh. Pendleton suggests that W.F.P. arrive early in the week so that they have time to see each other before Pendleton departs for Middleport. Pendleton recently learned from Paul and Anna Synnestvedt that Rev. David Klein’s poor health has become a significant financial burden, and he asks W.F.P. if Klein is qualified to receive a pension from the Church. Pendleton was sorry to learn about the illness in Augusta’s family, and he hopes she will remain strong. Names mentioned: Freda (Pendleton), Mr. (Willis) Gladish, Paul Synnestvedt, Anna Synnestvedt, David Klein, Alfred Stroh, Augusta (Pendleton Cooper)
