Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Bishop William F. Pendleton, 1912-02-20
Scope and Contents
Handwritten letter from N.D. Pendleton to Bishop William F. Pendleton. Pendleton met with his committee last night about a potential trip south. The committee was unanimously against it. They feel he has been absent too much over the past year with his regular trips to Erie, and this has been “injurious” to the Society. Pendleton states, “I left the meeting feeling that there was nothing to do but to give up the Erie work, and I place my resignation in your hands in the hope that you will be able to make some other satisfactory arrangement. . . That is to say, as long as the Erie trips continue I shall not be free to undertake any special service.” Names mentioned: Mr. (George) Macbeth, Dr. (William Benjamin) Boggess
