Pendleton delayed responding to W.F.P.’s last letter as he was waiting for the Pittsburgh Society to decide on a date for their next District Assembly. At last night’s Committee meeting, the general consensus was that sometime in the fall would be best. Pendleton hopes W.F.P. will preach in Pittsburgh on his way home from Chicago this spring. Pendleton’s wife, Beatrice, has been trying to convince him to get away for a couple of days to Bryn Athyn, but Pendleton has been finding these trips more difficult to make as he gets older.
