Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Bishop William F. Pendleton, 1910-04-06
Scope and Contents
Handwritten letter from N.D. Pendleton to Bishop William F. Pendleton. With regret, Pendleton turns down the position offered by the Board of Directors; He feels he would like the work, but the salary is significantly less than his current income. Additionally, it would place a great strain on Beatrice, however much she would enjoy living in Bryn Athyn. Both Pendleton and Beatrice would make any sacrifice necessary for the Church, but Pendleton does not feel that this is warranted in this situation. Pendleton ends the letter abruptly as an attack of neuritis is making writing too difficult. Names mentioned: Beatrice (Walton Childs Pendleton), Mr. Doering
