Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Bishop William F. Pendleton, 1910-02-24
Scope and Contents
Handwritten letter from N.D. Pendleton to Bishop William F. Pendleton. Pendleton is satisfied with the solution to the Erie matter; He will communicate with Mr. Brickman and Dr. Cranch about it. Pendleton has received letters from Mr. Gladish and Colon Schott asking him to visit Cincinnati. Mr. Gladish is unable to minister to Cincinnati owing to a case of scarlet fever in his family. Pendleton will arrange to make the trip once Beatrice returns home from her vacation. The Pittsburgh society is planning to officially incorporate, and although Pendleton does not personally care much regarding arrangements in this matter, it now appears that he will need to act as a moderator between two extreme factions in the society. Pendleton finds the news concerning George quite disturbing, and he sends his good wishes to Augusta and her family. Pendleton ends the letter with a promise to try to write something to present at the upcoming Assembly. Names mentioned: Mr. (Walter Edward) Brickman, Dr. (Edward) Cranch, Mr. (Willis Lendsay) Gladish, Colon Schott, Beatrice (Walton Childs Pendleton), George (Cooper), Louis (Pendleton?), Bob (Robert Beebe Caldwell?), Augusta (Pendleton Cooper)
