Gladish asking if Pendleton is willing to pay a pastoral visit to Cincinnati; Mrs. Gladish has been seriously ill and they now have a case of scarlet fever in the family as well, so Rev. Gladish is confined to the house. Pendleton cannot leave his family in Pittsburgh until his wife, Beatrice, returns from her vacation. However, he will try to make the trip to Cincinnati once she is home.
