Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Bishop William F. Pendleton, 1910-02-23
Scope and Contents
Handwritten letter from N.D. Pendleton to Bishop William F. Pendleton. The Erie circle has requested that Pendleton visit and preach for them at least four times per year. The Pittsburgh Society has agreed to give Pendleton up on occasion, provided that a replacement can be found to fill the pulpit. Pendleton asks if W.F.P. has any input on the matter. Pendleton has received a letter from Rev. Gladish asking if Pendleton is willing to pay a pastoral visit to Cincinnati; Mrs. Gladish has been seriously ill and they now have a case of scarlet fever in the family as well, so Rev. Gladish is confined to the house. Pendleton cannot leave his family in Pittsburgh until his wife, Beatrice, returns from her vacation. However, he will try to make the trip to Cincinnati once she is home. Names mentioned: Dr. (Edward) Cranch, Mr. (Willis Lendsay) Gladish, Mrs. (Laura Wallenberg) Gladish, Beatrice (Walton Childs Pendleton)
