Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Bishop William F. Pendleton, 1907-05-06
Scope and Contents
Handwritten letter from N.D. Pendleton to Bishop William F. Pendleton. Pendleton wrote to W.F.P. several days ago requesting to present a eulogy for Bishop Benade at the Assembly in place of his proposed paper on the Adversaria. It is now too late to finish the Adversaria paper, and Pendleton has grown “cold” towards the idea of a eulogy. In addition, Pendleton and his wife have just moved, and he does not know when he will have a chance to focus on his desk work. Regarding moving, Pendleton comments, “It requires a heroic nature combined with a fine patience to go through with a moving in Pittsburgh unperturbed.” Under the circumstances, Pendleton asks to be excused from presenting at the Assembly. Names mentioned: Bishop (William Henry) Benade, Louis (Pendleton), Ora (Pendleton)
