Scope and Contents
Handwritten letter from N.D. Pendleton to Bishop William F. Pendleton. Pendleton conveys to W.F.P. the appreciation of his Council for the Academy scholarship. The Immanuel Church has chosen to sponsor Vida (Gyllenhaal); Pendleton writes, “Since we are to raise the money for Vida’s expenses, it would be appreciated if the Academy would consider her case in the light of a scholarship and give the tuition free.” Names mentioned: Mr. (Hugh Lascelle) Burnham, Dorothy (Dorothea Burnham), Mr. (William Hubbard) Junge, Elise (Junge Brown), Helen Maynard, Vida (Louise Gyllenhaal), Mrs. (Lucy Jane Cross) Maynard
