Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Glendower C. Ottley, 1920-03-29
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Glendower C. Ottley in London, England. Pendleton is pleased that both Ottley and Mr. Tilson have accepted the invitation to attend the International Council and associated meetings in Bryn Athyn in June. As Ottley will most likely be in Bryn Athyn for the school closing, the faculty voted to invite him to deliver the annual address for the commencement ceremony. Pendleton writes that the commencement address is delivered primarily for the graduating Academy students, but that the event is of great interest to the people of the Bryn Athyn community as well. Pendleton suggests that “an address which has in view sound New Churchmanship looking to the future would meet with the requirements of the occasion.” Named mentioned: Mr. (Robert J.) Tilson
